Eros

Parents are Aphrodite (mother) and Chaos (father).  The most famous story in mythology about Eros is that involving The Lovers, Eros and Psyche.  Apparently, Eros (in his form as Cupid) is sent on a vengeance mission by Aphrodite, or rather as the book says Venus, who becomes jealous of Psyche, a mortal girl, who was gaining more attention than Aphrodite when his efforts backfire on him and he wounds himself falling deeply in love with Psyche.  Then somehow, someway, Psyche's mortal urges of needing to know too much gets the best of her and she stumbles upon something that she shouldn't need to know and that prompts Eros to leave.  Thinking she lost him forever, she is very sad.  Then she receives some type of salve from Persephone, and again, her curiousity gets the best of her and (there's altering versions of the story after this.... I need to investigate more before putting it all out there.  😀)

Either way, all in all about Psyche and Eros is a story of love and how and why love wins.
