Discovered October 16, 1977 by C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by T. Gehrels.
Named for the bird Gypaetus barbatus, or lammergeier.
This is a demon that is only active in Sagittarius sun and catches all the tips you throw at him.
Sometimes it can be a waiter or a waitress, other times it can be your friend on the other end of the telephone that understands the language of animals.. meaning the deeper meaning behind all those dirty messages you sent when you were upset at some dude.
