Vual

Procures the love of a woman.  Tells of things past, present, and future.  Builds love between friends and enemies.

A demon formerly of the Order of Powers, Vual is one of the seventy-two demons named in the Goetia.  His name also appears in Scot's Discoverie of Witchcraft.  Vual is said to hold the title of duke.  He rules over thirty-seven legions of infernal spirits.  He first manifests in the form of a dromedary and he speaks the Egyptian tongue.  He procures the love of women as well as the favor of friends and foes.  He is also said to speak on matters concerning the past, present, and future.  In Wierus's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, his name is spelled Wal.  In The Discoverie of Witchcraft, Scot makes the strange statement that Vual appears as a dromedary in human form.  This is likely the result of an error in the translation of Wierus's Latin.  In the Goetia of Dr. Rudd, Vual is said to appear first as a dromesdary and then later in the form of a man.  According to this text, he is constrained by the Angel Atatiah (this may have been intended to be read Aliliah).

The demon Vua-all, named in the Munich Handbook, may also be a variation of this being.  Under the name Vua-ael, he may also appear in the Mathers translation of the Grimoire of Armadel.  Given his treatment in the text, this being is likely a fallen angel.  When summoned, he can conjure pleasant visions for the magician.  He is said to be a faithful servant with much to teach.  His sigil is furhter reputed to contain secrets for exorcism.  See also GOETIA, RUDD, SCOT, WIERUS.

Uvall/Vual/Voval is the forty-seventh spirit who is a Duke.  Uvall appears as a large Dromedary but will take a human shape, hooded in Middle Eastern fashion, at the command of the sorverer.  Uvall speaks in an Egyptian manner, which is not easily understandable but the sorcerer may rely on the impulses or instinctual voices inside of any tongue spoken.  Uvall brings the love of woman and is a divinatory spirit.  He was of the Order of Potestates or Powers and governs 37 legions of spirits.
