In the first book of Esther we are told about Queen Vashi and how the king summoned her and she did not appear and the king became very angry with Vashi and decided to have a replacement fashioned for her since this was unacceptable behavior by a Queen that will anger her husband.
The book talks about and warns how if we don't make an example of this women will learn and start depreciating and devaluing their husbands.
